Stadium Overview

Broadfield Stadium is a compact lower-league ground on the southern side of Crawley, close to the A23 and not far from Crawley town centre. It has had several sponsored names over the years, but many supporters still know it simply as Broadfield Stadium.

The West Stand is the main stand and contains the principal club facilities, offices, changing rooms and hospitality areas. Behind the goals are small covered terraces, with the South Terrace traditionally the more vocal home end. The East Stand provides seated accommodation and is also used as part of the away allocation when needed.

Broadfield is not a large stadium, but it has a proper lower-league feel. The terraces give it character, while the seated stands make it practical for families and those who prefer not to stand. The matchday feel can vary a lot depending on the away following and whether the visiting allocation uses terrace space, seating, or both.

Away End

Away supporters are normally housed in the North Terrace, with away seating also available in a section of the East Stand depending on the fixture and allocation. Crawley’s visitor guidance identifies the North Terrace and part of the East Stand as the usual away areas.

The North Terrace is a covered standing area behind the goal and can generate a good away atmosphere when the visiting following is strong. The East Stand seating is the better choice for families, older supporters or anyone who does not want to stand for the match.

Away parking at the stadium itself is very limited, and general stadium parking is not normally available except for permit and season-ticket holders. Visiting supporters should check the club or away team guidance for parking advice, especially because the number of away disabled spaces is very small.

Matchday Advice

Broadfield Stadium is fairly easy to reach by road because it sits close to the A23, but parking needs planning. Crawley’s own visitor information states that there is no general parking at the stadium except for permit and season-ticket holders, so away supporters should use the advised alternatives.

Crawley railway station is walkable for many supporters, although it is not right beside the ground. Buses and taxis are available locally, and supporters travelling through Gatwick should allow extra time for onward travel into Crawley.

For neutral supporters, the West Stand or East Stand will usually give the best seated view. The South Terrace is the main home atmosphere area, while away supporters are normally in the North Terrace and part of the East Stand. If you have a choice between terrace and seat, check carefully before buying because the experience is different.

Tickets

Crawley Town tickets are normally sold through the club’s official ticketing channels, with online purchase recommended where available. Matchday sales can depend on the fixture, competition and demand, so it is best to check before travelling.

Away supporters should buy through the visiting club once Crawley releases the allocation. It is important to check whether the ticket is for the North Terrace standing area or the East Stand seated area. Families and supporters who require seats should make sure they select or request seated tickets where possible.

For home neutrals, the East Stand is usually a sensible option, while the West Stand provides the main-stand view. Supporters wanting more atmosphere should look towards the home terrace. Away fans should not assume they can pay on the day unless their club confirms it.

Stadium Rules

Standard EFL ground regulations apply at Broadfield Stadium. Supporters should expect normal restrictions on alcohol, pyrotechnics, discriminatory behaviour, offensive chanting and entering the field of play.

Crawley have previously advised supporters to avoid bringing bags where possible, and larger bags may not be permitted where no left-luggage facility is available. Supporters should check current matchday guidance before travelling, especially for higher-attendance fixtures.

Because away supporters may be split between terrace and seating, it is important to use the correct turnstiles and follow steward instructions around segregation. Supporters should also respect nearby streets and avoid parking in restricted areas.

Accessibility

Crawley Town provide accessible facilities, but provision is limited and should be arranged in advance. The club’s travel information has listed 22 disabled parking spaces in total, with 19 for home fans and only three for away fans.

Away disabled supporters should contact the club or their own ticket office before travelling to confirm parking, wheelchair positions, companion tickets, entry points and access routes. Blue badge holders should not assume they can park at the stadium without prior confirmation.

Crawley also offer services for disabled supporters, including audio description arrangements for visually impaired fans where available. Supporters needing this should contact the club in advance so equipment and seating can be arranged.

Stadium Tours

There does not appear to be a regular public stadium tour programme at Broadfield Stadium. Crawley Town may occasionally provide behind-the-scenes access through schools, community activity, mascot packages or hospitality, but standard bookable stadium tours do not appear to be a regular public offer.

Supporters wanting a tour-style visit should check directly with the club for any special events rather than expecting routine stadium tours.
