Grimsby Town are based at Blundell Park in Cleethorpes and have one of the most loyal followings in the lower divisions. The Mariners have a proud history in the Football League, strong links to the fishing community and memorable cup runs. Blundell Park gives the club a traditional coastal football setting.
Blundell Park is one of the most traditional and distinctive grounds in League Two. Despite being the home of Grimsby Town, the stadium is actually in Cleethorpes, close to the seafront and surrounded by residential streets.
The ground has a classic four-sided layout. The Main Stand is an older seated stand with a traditional feel, the Pontoon Stand is the main home singing end, the Upper and Lower Findus Stand provides the largest side-on accommodation, and the Osmond Stand behind the opposite goal is usually used for away supporters.
Blundell Park is not modern or polished, but it has real character. The stands are close to the pitch, the setting near the coast makes it memorable, and the Pontoon can create a strong home atmosphere. Facilities are more basic than at newer grounds, but for supporters who like old-school football stadiums it remains a proper away day.
Away supporters are normally housed in the Osmond Stand behind one goal. This is the traditional away end at Blundell Park and can be split depending on the size of the travelling allocation, with Grimsby sometimes using part of the stand for home supporters when away demand is smaller.
The Osmond Stand is covered and seated, but it is an older stand and facilities are fairly basic. The away end is close to the pitch and can create a good atmosphere when the travelling support fills the section.
Grimsby’s visitor information confirms that Blundell Park is in Cleethorpes and that Cleethorpes railway station is around a 20-minute walk away. Away supporters should follow signs and steward directions around the ground, especially where the Osmond Stand is split for segregation.

Blundell Park is a good ground to visit by train if you are happy with a walk. Cleethorpes station is the nearest station and is around 20 minutes away on foot. Supporters can also use local buses, with Stagecoach services running close to the stadium.
Parking is mostly street-based and can be limited around the ground. Supporters driving should arrive early, park responsibly and avoid blocking residential streets. The coastal location can make the area busy at certain times of year, so allow extra time if travelling during holiday periods or good weather.
For neutral supporters, the Findus Stand gives the best side-on view. The Pontoon Stand is the main home atmosphere area, while away supporters are normally in the Osmond Stand. Blundell Park is an older stadium, so expect a more traditional matchday experience rather than modern concourse facilities.
Grimsby Town tickets are sold through the club’s official ticketing channels, including online and through the ticket office. Home supporters can choose between the main home stands depending on availability and the type of matchday experience they want.
Away supporters should normally buy through the visiting club once the Osmond Stand allocation is released. Matchday sales, collections and duplicate arrangements can vary by fixture, so travelling fans should check their own club’s information before setting off.
For neutrals, the Findus Stand is usually the best choice for view and comfort. Supporters wanting the loudest home atmosphere should look towards the Pontoon. Families and first-time visitors may prefer quieter seated areas away from the most vocal home sections.
Standard EFL ground regulations apply at Blundell Park. Supporters should expect checks around bags, alcohol, pyrotechnics, discriminatory behaviour, offensive chanting and entering the field of play.
Because the stadium is surrounded by residential streets, supporters should be respectful when arriving and leaving. Parking should only be in permitted areas, and fans should avoid blocking driveways or access routes.
Away supporters should use the correct Osmond Stand entrances and follow steward instructions, particularly for fixtures where the stand is split between home and away fans. Local bus stops and walking routes can be busy after full-time, so allow a little extra time when leaving.
Grimsby Town provide accessibility arrangements for disabled supporters, but these should be booked in advance. The Osmond Stand has been listed with wheelchair bays and accompanying carer seats for away supporters, and accessible toilet provision is available in that area.
Accessible parking is limited. Level Playing Field lists small numbers of accessible spaces for both home and away supporters, with booking through the club’s Disability Liaison Officer. Away disabled supporters should not assume parking or wheelchair spaces will be available without prior arrangement.
Because Blundell Park is an older stadium in a residential setting, supporters with mobility needs should confirm entry points, seating location, companion tickets, accessible toilets and parking before travelling.
There does not appear to be a regular public stadium tour programme at Blundell Park. Grimsby Town may occasionally provide behind-the-scenes access through community events, hospitality, school visits or club-led activity, but standard bookable stadium tours do not appear to be a regular public offer.
Supporters interested in a tour-style visit should check directly with the club for any special events rather than expecting routine stadium tours.
