Cheshunt are based at Theobalds Lane and are one of Hertfordshire’s established non-league clubs. The Ambers have competed at Step 2 and Step 3, with a strong community identity and a traditional home ground close to the town. Their Isthmian Premier campaigns keep them in a competitive south-east football environment.
Cheshunt play at The Stadium on Theobalds Lane, a long-standing Hertfordshire non-league venue with a mix of older history and more recent upgrades. The ground is close to the M25 and is also within walking distance of Theobalds Grove station.
The stadium has a modernised Step 3 layout with a seated stand around halfway, standing terraces and covered spectator areas. Cheshunt have also advertised the venue as having a 380-seater stadium layout for hire, while league listings have commonly given the capacity around 3,500. Recent redevelopment work has improved the stand and terrace provision, including newer seating and behind-goal terrace areas.
Theobalds Lane is a practical, community-style football ground rather than a large enclosed stadium. It has clubhouse and event facilities on site, a sizeable car park and a fairly easy matchday layout. The ground is known for being simple to reach, especially because Theobalds Grove station is much closer than Cheshunt station.
Cheshunt do not normally operate routine segregation for standard Isthmian Premier league fixtures. Visiting supporters usually enter through the normal matchday entrance and mix with home fans around the seated stand, terraces and clubhouse areas.
For most fixtures, away fans can choose their own view. The seated stand around halfway is the best option for a central view, while the terraces behind the goals are better for those wanting to stand and follow the atmosphere. Home vocal support may gather around covered standing or behind-goal areas depending on the match.
If segregation is required for a derby, cup tie or high-attendance match, Cheshunt will usually issue a visiting-supporter guide or fixture-specific instructions. In those cases, away supporters should follow the announced entry route, stewarding and facility arrangements.

The most important travel advice is to use Theobalds Grove station rather than Cheshunt station if travelling by rail. Theobalds Grove is only a short walk from the ground, while Cheshunt station is further away and less convenient for most supporters.
Drivers will find the ground on Theobalds Lane, with the site close to the M25 and accessible from surrounding Hertfordshire, Essex and north London routes. The ground has parking, but spaces can still become busy for bigger fixtures, so arrive early and park only in designated areas.
Cheshunt operate a strict no-dogs policy, except guide and assistance dogs. If travelling as a family, do not bring a dog expecting stewards to make an exception. Cedars Park opposite the ground is dog-friendly and has toilets and a cafe, but dogs should not be brought into the stadium itself.
Cheshunt sell tickets online through the club ticketing site and also offer matchday admission arrangements. Published league prices for 2026/27 are Adults £14, Concessions £8, Under-16s £1 and Under-12s free when accompanied by an adult.
The club notes that the online ticket office closes at 17:00 on Fridays for Saturday matches and at 12 noon on weekday matchdays so that turnstile records can be prepared. Supporters who want advance tickets should therefore buy before those cut-off times.
Away fans usually buy in the same way as home supporters unless a segregated fixture or advance away allocation is announced. For the best view, use the central seating. For a more traditional non-league standing experience, use the terraces, but check on the day whether any areas are reserved or stewarded separately.
Cheshunt publish ground regulations and supporters should follow stewarding instructions at all times. Smoking is not permitted within the stands, ball games are not permitted inside the ground, under-16s must be supervised by a responsible adult, and all vehicles must be parked in designated spaces at the owner’s risk.
The club has a clear no-dogs policy, with the exception of guide and assistance dogs. Supporters should not bring ordinary dogs to the stadium.
Normal football ground rules also apply: no pyrotechnics, no pitch encroachment, no throwing objects, no discriminatory behaviour and no bringing alcohol into the ground. If segregation is in place, supporters must remain in their allocated area.
Cheshunt’s ground has disabled access listed among its facility details, and the stadium has parking on site. Even so, supporters with specific accessibility needs should contact the club before travelling to confirm the best entrance, parking arrangements and viewing position.
The ground is more practical than many older non-league venues because it has hard standing, modernised spectator areas and close clubhouse facilities. However, stands and terraces may involve steps or busy access routes, so wheelchair users may prefer a pitchside hard-standing position.
Theobalds Grove station is the closest rail stop and is only a short walk away, but supporters with mobility needs should still check the walking route and station access before travelling. Guide and assistance dogs are permitted despite the general no-dogs policy.
Cheshunt do not advertise regular public stadium tours of Theobalds Lane. The ground is used for football, events and facility hire, but formal tours are not part of the standard matchday offer.
Supporters wanting to see the venue should arrive early once the ground and clubhouse are open. Any special access for community groups, sponsors, media or private events should be arranged directly with Cheshunt rather than assumed as a public tour.
