AFC Telford United were formed in 2004 after the collapse of Telford United and quickly carried the town’s football identity forward. Based at the New Bucks Head, the club has spent much of its modern life around Step 2 and Step 3, backed by a loyal Shropshire support and a strong non-league tradition.
The New Bucks Head, currently also known as the SEAH Stadium, is one of the more modern grounds in National League North and feels more like a purpose-built non-league stadium than an old town-centre ground. It sits in Wellington, just outside Telford, and has a clean four-sided layout with covered accommodation on every side.
The main seated area is the Sir Stephen Roberts Stand on the west side, which contains the principal seating, hospitality and club facilities. Opposite is the David Hutchinson Stand, while both ends are terraced. The Frank Nagington Stand is the covered terrace usually associated with away supporters when segregation is in operation.
Sightlines are generally good around the ground, and because the stadium was built relatively recently, circulation and concourse space are better than at many older grounds at this level. The ground can feel spacious for regular league fixtures, but it is well suited to bigger National League North crowds and cup ties.
Away supporters at AFC Telford United are usually housed in the Frank Nagington Stand when segregation is in place. This is a large covered terrace behind one goal and is one of the better away terraces at this level, with good sightlines and plenty of room for a strong travelling support.
The away entrance is normally separate from the home entrances. Supporters enter at the top of the away terrace area and then move down towards the standing section, with dedicated concourse facilities available for food and drink on segregated matchdays. For larger away followings, seating may also be made available in part of the Sir Stephen Roberts Stand.
Segregation will not necessarily apply to every National League North fixture. For lower-risk games, AFC Telford have previously operated without segregation, so away fans may simply use the normal entrances and move around the ground. Always check the club or visiting club's match information before travelling, especially for bigger followings.

The New Bucks Head is generally straightforward for visiting supporters. The ground is outside the busiest parts of Telford and is close to Wellington, making it easier to reach by road than many town-centre grounds.
If driving, use the official car park where available and avoid the hotel car park behind the West Stand, as the club specifically advises that there is no matchday parking there. For bigger fixtures, arrive early because the official parking can fill quickly.
For atmosphere, the terraced ends are usually the livelier parts of the ground. Neutral supporters wanting a more comfortable view should look towards the seated areas in the main stand. Away fans should check whether segregation is in place, as this will decide whether they use the Frank Nagington Stand or normal home/neutral access points.
AFC Telford United normally sell tickets online in advance, with matchday sales often available depending on the fixture. For bigger games, buying in advance is recommended, particularly if segregation is in place or if a large away following is expected.
Away supporters should check whether the fixture is segregated. If it is, tickets may be sold specifically for the Frank Nagington Stand or another away allocation. If extra seating is available for away fans, this will normally be stated in the match information.
Neutral supporters wanting the best view should choose seated tickets in the main stand where available. Those looking for the louder, more traditional feel will usually prefer the terraced ends, although segregation may restrict access on some fixtures.
AFC Telford United operate normal football ground regulations. Supporters should expect bag checks or steward checks when required, and alcohol rules will follow standard stadium licensing arrangements.
Parking rules are worth noting: the club advises that matchday parking should use the official car park behind the East Terrace and David Hutchinson Stand, accessed from Haybridge Road, and that the hotel car park behind the West Stand should not be used for matchday parking.
At segregated fixtures, supporters must use the correct home or away entrance and should not attempt to move between segregated areas.
AFC Telford United provide specific accessibility arrangements at the SEAH Stadium. The club normally operates a disabled entrance in the corner where the West Stand and David Hutchinson Stand meet, between the club shop and the control tower.
For certain fixtures, especially where away supporters are housed in the Frank Nagington Stand, the club may operate a second disabled entrance at the A5 end of the West Stand to give access to the disabled area serving that section.
Supporters with access needs should contact the club in advance where possible, particularly for segregated fixtures, to confirm entrance, viewing area and parking arrangements.
Regular public stadium tours are not normally advertised for the New Bucks Head. The stadium does host matchday, hospitality and event activity, but supporters should not expect a formal tour product similar to larger professional clubs.
Anyone wanting a look around for a special reason, group visit or community purpose should contact AFC Telford United directly to ask whether anything can be arranged.
