Stadium Overview

The Pallet-Track Bescot Stadium, still widely known simply as the Bescot Stadium, has been Walsall’s home since 1990. It is one of the most recognisable modern lower-league grounds from that era and sits close to Junction 9 of the M6, with Bescot railway station nearby.

The stadium has four separate stands. The Tile Choice Stand is the large two-tier stand and is the dominant feature of the ground, containing hospitality and main facilities. The Poundland Stand, Experienced Energy Solutions Stand and away end complete the layout, with the away section normally behind one goal.

Bescot is practical and accessible by road and rail, though not especially atmospheric in design compared with older town-centre grounds. Sightlines are generally fine, but some away-end views can be affected by supporting pillars. The stadium is straightforward to navigate and has more parking around it than many grounds at this level.

Away End

Away supporters are normally housed in the South Stand behind one goal. Away ground guidance lists the usual away allocation at around 2,000, though this can change depending on demand and competition.

The South Stand is covered and all-seater, but some seats can have views affected by supporting pillars. Visiting supporters should take this into account where seating is allocated, especially if they prefer a clear central view.

Walsall is one of the easier away days by road because of its motorway access and stadium parking. There is also an away-fan parking area at the ground, although payment and pre-booking arrangements can vary. Bescot railway station is very close to the stadium, but disabled supporters should note that access at Bescot station may not suit all needs.

Matchday Advice

The Bescot Stadium is very convenient by road, sitting close to the M6, and has more parking options than many League Two grounds. Visiting supporters should still check current parking charges and whether pre-booking is required, as payment arrangements can change.

Bescot railway station is across the road from the stadium and is useful for many supporters travelling from Birmingham or Wolverhampton. However, Level Playing Field advises travelling fans with access needs to use Walsall station instead, as Bescot station may not be able to support disability access requirements.

For neutral supporters, the main side stands provide the best overall view. The large two-tier stand is the stadium’s dominant feature and offers the most complete matchday facilities. Away fans are normally behind the goal in the South Stand, while home atmosphere varies depending on attendance and fixture importance.

Tickets

Walsall tickets are sold through the club’s official ticketing channels, including online and the ticket office. Advance purchase is recommended for popular fixtures and for supporters who want the best choice of seats.

Away supporters should buy through the visiting club once Walsall releases the South Stand allocation. Visiting fans should check their club’s ticket announcement for prices, collection arrangements, disabled tickets, coach travel and whether pay-on-the-day is available.

For home neutrals, side-on seating is the best choice for view and comfort. Away supporters should check whether their ticket is in an area affected by pillars and should follow the away parking and entrance information issued for the fixture.

Stadium Rules

Standard EFL ground regulations apply at the Bescot Stadium. Supporters should expect checks around bags, alcohol, pyrotechnics, discriminatory behaviour, offensive chanting and entering the field of play.

Away supporters should use the South Stand entrances and follow steward instructions around the away fan car park and segregation routes. Parking payment may be card-only for some fixtures, so supporters should check current guidance before travelling.

Because the stadium sits close to major roads, railway access and retail/business areas, supporters should follow traffic instructions and avoid blocking local access routes after the match.

Accessibility

Walsall provide disabled supporter information and companion ticket arrangements through the club. The club’s disabled supporter policy notes that disabled and personal assistant or companion tickets are usually available from the standard ticket allocation sent to an away club.

Level Playing Field advises travelling disabled supporters to use Walsall station rather than Bescot station because Bescot may not be suitable for all access needs. This is an important point for away supporters planning to travel by rail.

Accessible parking at the stadium can be limited. Visiting disabled supporters should arrange wheelchair spaces, companion tickets, parking and accessible entry details in advance through their own club or Walsall. Do not assume disabled parking will be available on arrival unless it has been confirmed.

Stadium Tours

There does not appear to be a regular public stadium tour programme at the Pallet-Track Bescot Stadium. Walsall may occasionally provide access through community, hospitality, school visits or special club events, but routine bookable football stadium tours are not clearly advertised as a regular public offer.

Supporters interested in behind-the-scenes access should check directly with Walsall for any one-off opportunities rather than expecting standard stadium tours.
