Stadium Overview

The Laithwaite Community Stadium, still widely known as Kingfield, is a traditional compact ground in Woking with a mixture of older non-league character and more developed modern stands. It sits around a mile from Woking railway station and is close to Woking Park, giving it a more town-based feel than many edge-of-town grounds.

The most recognisable part of the stadium is the large Leslie Gosden Stand, which dominates one side and provides the main seated accommodation. Other areas include terraces and lower stands around the ground, with the Chris Lane Terrace on the east side having been used for travelling supporters. The ground is close to the pitch and can generate good noise when the crowd is strong.

For neutrals, the main seated stand gives the best view and comfort. The terraces offer the traditional Woking experience, but standing and seated pricing are separate, so supporters should choose carefully. Away arrangements have developed in recent seasons, including the use of the Chris Lane Terrace and a dedicated away fan zone for some fixtures.

Away End

Away supporters at Woking are commonly allocated the Chris Lane Terrace on the east side of the ground, with the club advising travelling supporters to select Chris Lane Terrace East for relevant fixtures. Woking have also introduced an away fan zone adjacent to this terrace, offering food, soft drinks and alcoholic drinks before the match and at half time for selected fixtures.

Because Woking can vary arrangements depending on the opposition and expected following, away fans should check the fixture-specific information before travelling. The away section is usually a terrace rather than a large seated stand, so supporters who require seating or accessible arrangements should contact the club early.

The away experience is a traditional close-to-the-pitch terrace rather than a modern concourse-style away end. It can be a good place to watch from in terms of atmosphere, but facilities and access depend on the matchday plan and whether the away fan zone is operating.

Matchday Advice

Woking is one of the better National League trips by rail. Woking station is around a 20-minute walk from the ground and has strong links to London Waterloo. The walk is straightforward enough, but supporters should allow extra time on busy matchdays.

There is no supporter parking at the stadium itself. Woking advise disabled supporters and general visitors that parking is not available at the ground, with nearby public car parks such as Woking Park car park and Heathside Crescent often used instead. Drivers should check current charges and restrictions before travelling.

For neutrals, the Leslie Gosden Stand is the best choice for a clear seated view. Away supporters should check whether they are in the Chris Lane Terrace and whether the away fan zone is open. Because the stadium is compact, arriving early helps with queues, terrace positioning and food or drink before kick-off.

Tickets

Woking tickets are normally sold online, with individual match tickets issued as e-tickets from the club’s ticketing system. These can be scanned from a smartphone or printed at home. Season ticket holders use their season ticket card for National League fixtures.

Ticket prices are separated between standing and seated accommodation, so supporters should make sure they select the correct area. Away supporters should buy the designated away ticket, such as the Chris Lane Terrace East allocation when advertised.

For home or neutral supporters, seating in the main stand gives the best overall view and comfort. Standing areas are better for supporters wanting the traditional terrace feel. Away supporters who need seating or accessibility support should not rely on the standard away terrace and should contact the club before buying.

Stadium Rules

The Laithwaite Community Stadium operates formal ground rules and regulations. Woking state that they expect high standards of behaviour from home and away supporters and will not tolerate conduct that compromises the reputation of the club.

Supporters should expect ticket checks, stewarding and possible searches. Flares, smoke devices, fireworks, alcohol brought into the ground, glass bottles, weapons and other dangerous items are not permitted. Supporters should not enter the pitch, throw objects, block gangways or use discriminatory, threatening or abusive behaviour.

Large flags, banners, drums or musical instruments should be checked with Woking before travelling. Away supporters should remain in the designated away section and follow steward instructions around segregation and access to the away fan zone.

Accessibility

Woking provide specific disabled supporter information. Wheelchair spaces are limited to 15 in total, while easy-access seating is limited to 28 seats in the home sections, subject to availability. These tickets should be booked as early as possible through the ticketing office.

There is no parking available at the stadium itself, so disabled supporters should plan drop-off and parking arrangements in advance. Woking Park car park is close to the stadium, while Heathside Crescent is also used as a designated car park option.

Away disabled supporters should contact Woking before travelling because the ordinary away allocation may be terrace-based and may not be suitable for every supporter. The club can advise on the best available viewing position, companion ticket arrangements and entry route.

Stadium Tours

There does not appear to be a regular public stadium tour programme at the Laithwaite Community Stadium. Woking publish matchday, ticketing, accessibility and ground regulation information, but routine bookable tours are not clearly advertised.

Supporters interested in private access, a group visit or a community arrangement should contact Woking directly. For most visitors, the practical way to experience Kingfield is by attending a match rather than booking a formal stadium tour.
