Stadium Overview

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is one of the most advanced football stadiums in Europe. Opened in 2019 on the site of Tottenham's former White Hart Lane ground, it is a modern, multi-purpose venue designed for Premier League football, NFL games, concerts and major events. Despite that, it still sits in Tottenham rather than on an out-of-town site, so the matchday experience mixes a huge modern stadium with traditional north London streets.

The stadium is a large, steep, enclosed bowl with a single-tier South Stand as its main home end. That South Stand is one of the largest single-tier stands in British football and was designed to create a strong wall of home support. The East and West stands run along the sides of the pitch, with premium areas, hospitality, club spaces and excellent sightlines. The North Stand is behind the opposite goal, while away supporters are housed in the north-east corner.

The stadium is known for its modern facilities, excellent concourses, wide food and drink choice, digital ticketing and strong sightlines from almost every seat. It also has major design features such as a retractable pitch system for NFL and events. For neutrals, the side stands are the best viewing areas, while the South Stand is the clear home-atmosphere focal point.

Away End

Away supporters at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium are located in the North East Corner. Tottenham's official visiting-supporter information lists the visitors' section as Blocks 114 to 118 and Block 234, with higher allocations possible depending on competition rules. The section is accessed separately from home areas and is fully segregated.

The view from the away section is generally very good. The stadium is steep, modern and close to the pitch, so even corner seats offer a strong view compared with many older away ends. Blocks 114, 115 and 118 include a selection of easy-access seats for ambulant disabled supporters, while Block 234 includes wheelchair-accessible spaces with personal-assistant seating.

Away supporters should follow the official visiting-supporter guide and use the correct entrance and approach route. Tottenham's stadium is large, and the surrounding streets can be heavily managed on matchdays, particularly around Worcester Avenue, Park Lane and the High Road. Arriving late and approaching from the wrong side of the stadium can add unnecessary time.

Getting There

By Road

From the North

From the north, drivers normally approach London via the M1, A1 or A10 before reaching Tottenham and the High Road area. Tottenham strongly discourage driving to the stadium: there is no public parking in or around the ground, event-day controlled parking zones operate, and road closures are used around matches. Use public transport, official coach arrangements or park well away from the stadium and continue by train or bus.

From the South

From the south, drivers usually need to cross London using the A10, A406, Blackwall Tunnel, North Circular, South Circular or central London routes depending on where they start. Tottenham strongly discourage driving to the stadium: there is no public parking in or around the ground, controlled parking zones operate and road closures are used on event days. Use public transport, official coach travel or park well away from Tottenham.

From the East

From the east, drivers usually approach Tottenham via the A12, A13, A406 North Circular, Blackwall Tunnel, A10 or local East London routes. Tottenham strongly discourage driving to the stadium because there is no public parking in or around the ground, controlled parking zones operate and event-day road closures are used. Use public transport, official coach travel or park well away from Tottenham and continue by train or bus.

From the West

From the west, drivers usually need to cross North or Central London using the A406 North Circular, A40, A10, A503, Seven Sisters Road or other local routes towards Tottenham. Tottenham strongly discourage driving to the stadium because there is no general admission parking available, controlled parking zones operate and event-day road closures are used. Use public transport, official coach arrangements, or park well away from Tottenham and continue by train or bus.

By Train

White Hart Lane, Northumberland Park, Tottenham Hale & Seven Sisters

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is served by White Hart Lane, Northumberland Park, Tottenham Hale and Seven Sisters. Tottenham list White Hart Lane as around five minutes from the stadium, Northumberland Park around 10 minutes, Tottenham Hale around 25 minutes and Seven Sisters around 30 minutes. All can be busy after full-time, so follow station queueing systems and allow extra time for onward London connections.

Walking From Station

White Hart Lane

White Hart Lane is the main walkable station for Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and is only a short walk from the ground. Tottenham also list Northumberland Park, Tottenham Hale and Seven Sisters as useful alternatives, but White Hart Lane is the closest for most supporters. After full-time, expect station queues and follow the managed walking routes and steward instructions around Tottenham High Road.

By Air

London Stansted, London City, Luton, Heathrow & Gatwick

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium can be reached from all major London airports, with Stansted, London City and Luton often useful for North and East London routes. Heathrow and Gatwick are also possible with longer Underground or rail connections. From the airport, continue by rail, Underground, Overground or bus towards White Hart Lane, Northumberland Park, Tottenham Hale or Seven Sisters. Driving is strongly discouraged because there is no public parking at the stadium.

Taxi / Public Transport

Local Taxis / Private Hire

For Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, local taxis and private hire are best used for pre-booked journeys to a pickup point away from Tottenham High Road. The club strongly discourages driving to the stadium and matchday road closures and controlled parking zones make direct pickup difficult. Consider walking towards a quieter station or main road before requesting a taxi.

Minicab / Ride-hailing Away From Stadium

Ride-hailing and minicab services operate widely across North London, but collection immediately outside Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is difficult on matchdays because of crowd management and road closures. If using a taxi, arrange a pickup away from the stadium footprint and leave extra time after full-time, especially for late kick-offs.

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium Buses and Shuttle Buses

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is well served by TfL buses and matchday shuttle buses. The club lists shuttle services from Wood Green and Alexandra Palace on event days, while TfL routes around the stadium include 149, 259, 279 and 349. On event days, High Road closures can mean temporary diversions, so check Spurs and TfL guidance before travelling.

Parking
Tottenham Hotspur Accessible Stadium Parking

Tottenham provide a limited number of accessible spaces in the stadium basement, accessed via Worcester Avenue, but this is not general public parking. Eligible supporters should register and book through the club when spaces are released.

Wilbury Way Matchday Parking

A pre-booked matchday parking option around Edmonton, usually involving a 20-25 minute walk to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. This is better than trying to park near the ground, where event-day controlled parking zones and road closures operate.

JustPark Tottenham Hotspur Stadium Spaces

A useful fallback for pre-booked private driveways and commercial spaces in the wider Tottenham area. Check walking distance carefully and avoid parking in controlled zones close to the stadium.

Matchday Advice

Public transport is strongly recommended for Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The stadium's own travel guidance describes public transport as the easiest way to travel. White Hart Lane, Northumberland Park, Tottenham Hale and Seven Sisters are all used by supporters, with different walking distances and crowd-management arrangements depending on the route.

Driving is not recommended unless you have official parking or a specific access arrangement. The stadium sits in a dense urban area and matchday traffic controls, road closures and resident parking restrictions are common. Supporters should not expect to park near the ground without planning.

Arrive early if it is your first visit. The Tottenham Experience, club shop, food and drink areas and stadium exterior are all part of the modern matchday experience, but security and digital-ticket checks still take time. After full-time, expect managed walking routes and queues at the main stations, especially for evening games or high-profile fixtures.

Tickets

Tottenham home tickets are sold through the club's official ticketing channels, with priority normally given to season-ticket holders, One Hotspur members and supporters with booking history depending on the fixture. Premier League tickets can be difficult for casual visitors, particularly for London derbies and matches against major clubs.

For neutrals, the East or West Stand side seats usually provide the best overall view and a less intense experience than the home end. The South Stand is the main home-atmosphere area and is best suited to Spurs supporters who want to be part of the vocal support. Seats near the north-east away corner can be livelier and are not the first choice for a quieter visit.

Away tickets are sold by the visiting club. Travelling supporters should use their club's official sales process and check their block carefully. Tottenham also make clear that away colours are not permitted in premium home areas, and obvious away support outside the visiting section may lead to removal from those areas.

Stadium Rules

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium operates standard Premier League ground regulations, including searches on entry, no pyrotechnics, no pitch encroachment, no discriminatory behaviour and no alcohol consumption in view of the pitch. Supporters should use the entrance shown on their ticket and follow steward instructions.

General admission gates normally open two hours before kick-off, while premium areas open earlier. Digital ticketing is central to the stadium operation, so supporters should make sure their ticket is downloaded, charged and ready before reaching the turnstiles.

The stadium has clear segregation for visiting supporters in the north-east corner. Away fans should not attempt to access home or premium areas in away colours, and home supporters should not enter the away section. Bag rules, prohibited items and flag policies should be checked before travelling, particularly for European or cup fixtures where regulations may differ.

Accessibility

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium was designed with modern accessibility in mind and provides accessible seating, wheelchair spaces, easy-access seats, accessible toilets and support services across the venue. Tottenham's visiting-supporter information specifically lists easy-access seats for ambulant disabled away fans in Blocks 114, 115 and 118, plus wheelchair-accessible spaces in Block 234.

Away disabled supporters should book through the visiting club and confirm entrance, block, lift access and personal-assistant arrangements before travelling. Because the stadium is large and crowds around the High Road and stations can be heavy, supporters should plan the full journey as well as the seat location.

The stadium tour route is advertised as step-free and wheelchair accessible, with wheelchairs and mobility scooters welcome inside the Tottenham Experience and Stadium. Matchday supporters needing assistance should contact the club or their own ticket office in advance rather than leaving arrangements until arrival.

Stadium Tours

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium offers a range of official tours and attractions, including stadium tours and specialist experiences. The standard tour gives visitors behind-the-scenes access to one of the most modern stadiums in Europe, while additional options such as technical tours focus on the engineering, architecture and technology of the venue, including features such as the retractable pitch.

Tours should be booked through Tottenham's official stadium channels. The tour route is promoted as step-free and wheelchair accessible, and visitors can request assistance during the booking process. Availability can change around matchdays, NFL fixtures, concerts and private events, so dates and access details should be checked before travelling.
