Stadium Overview

Sixways Stadium is the current home of Worcester City and is a very different venue from most grounds in the Southern League Premier Central. Located on Warriors Way, Worcester, the stadium is best known as a professional rugby venue and is much larger and more developed than a typical Step 3 football ground.

The stadium has substantial permanent stands, concourses, hospitality areas, a ticket office and modern spectator facilities. For Worcester City, that means home matches are played in a venue with far more infrastructure than most non-league clubs at this level, although the matchday feel will depend heavily on which areas of the stadium are open for football fixtures.

For neutrals, Sixways offers better sightlines, facilities and protection from the weather than many traditional non-league grounds. However, it may not have the tight, old-ground atmosphere of smaller venues. The best viewing areas will usually be the opened seated sections along the side of the pitch, while atmosphere will depend on where the Worcester support gathers for a particular match.

Away End

Away segregation is not expected to be routine for every Worcester City match at Sixways Stadium. For most Southern League Premier Central fixtures, visiting supporters should expect general admission or a match-specific seating arrangement rather than a permanent traditional away terrace.

Because Sixways is a large stadium, Worcester City may choose to open specific stands, blocks, turnstiles or concourse areas depending on the expected crowd. For bigger fixtures, cup ties or matches with a strong away following, visiting supporters may be directed to a defined area with its own entry and facilities.

Away fans should check Worcester City's official match information before travelling. The key point is that Sixways is not a compact non-league ground where all areas are automatically open; access, seating and entry points may vary by fixture.

Matchday Advice

Sixways is located off the A449 / M5 side of Worcester rather than in the middle of the city, so car travel is often the simplest option. Supporters should check Worcester City's matchday guidance for parking arrangements, as the stadium has large-site infrastructure but football match parking may still be controlled by event setup.

Public transport is possible, but supporters arriving by train should plan the onward journey from Worcester's stations by taxi, bus or lift. Walking from the city centre is not practical for most supporters.

The matchday experience will feel different from most Step 3 away days. Facilities should be stronger than at many grounds, but the stadium may only have selected areas open. Arrive early, check which entrance or ticket office is in use, and do not assume that rugby-style stadium access will be identical for every Worcester City fixture.

Tickets

Worcester City operate online ticketing through their official channels, with match tickets and season tickets promoted through the club website. For standard league fixtures, pay-on-the-day may be available depending on the match, but supporters should check the latest ticket information before travelling.

At Sixways, ticketing may be more structured than at smaller non-league grounds. Supporters may need to use specific entrances, ticket-office arrangements or online purchase links depending on the fixture.

Admission is likely to be general within the opened areas unless the club announces reserved seating or away allocation details. Away fans should check whether their match has designated blocks, advance-ticket advice or any restrictions before setting off.

Stadium Rules

Supporters should follow standard stadium regulations at Sixways. Pyrotechnics, smoke bombs, pitch encroachment, throwing objects, abusive behaviour and entry into restricted areas are not permitted. Alcohol should only be consumed in permitted concourse or hospitality areas and may be restricted depending on competition rules.

Because Sixways is a large multi-use stadium, supporters should only use the entrances, stands, concourses and facilities opened for the Worcester City fixture. Other parts of the stadium may be closed or restricted.

Parking, ticket scanning and entry procedures may be more formal than at smaller non-league grounds. Supporters should follow steward instructions, keep gangways and exits clear, and use only the allocated matchday areas.

Accessibility

Sixways Stadium has more developed accessibility infrastructure than most Step 3 grounds, including published access information for stadium areas such as the shop and ticket office. However, Worcester City supporters should still check the club's specific matchday arrangements because not every area of the stadium may be open for football fixtures.

Disabled supporters should contact Worcester City or the stadium before travelling to confirm accessible parking, step-free entrance points, seating or viewing areas, accessible toilets and ticket-office access. This is especially important if a match has a larger expected attendance or specific stand configuration.

Arriving early is recommended so stewards can direct supporters to the correct entrance, parking area and accessible viewing position before queues build.

Stadium Tours

Regular Worcester City public stadium tours are not advertised for Sixways Stadium. Although Sixways is a larger professional venue, Worcester City do not appear to operate a football-specific scheduled stadium tour programme.

Supporters interested in visiting outside matchday, viewing the stadium or discussing access for groups should contact Worcester City or the stadium directly. Any access is likely to depend on event schedules, stadium operations and staff availability.
